Insurance
You may insure your package against loss or damage for up to $5,000.00 USD. Insurance is provided by Shipsurance Parcel Insurance Services.
Include both the cost of postage and value of the package contents in the total insured value.

Insurance for US domestic shipments:
For US domestic shipments and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses, rates are $0.75 for the first $50 of coverage; $0.80 for packages valued between $50.01 and $100; and $0.80 plus $0.80 per $100 or fraction thereof over $100 of coverage, per package.
Note: The USPS includes $100 of insurance with the purchase of all domestic Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express postage. If you need to insure these package types for more than what is included, please purchase shipping label insurance on the label purchase page for the entire value of the package.

Insurance Claims:
All Insurance Claims are filed online and handled by Shipsurance Parcel Insurance Services.
For lost parcels, you must wait 20 days for domestic and 40 days for International locations. Lost claims for shipments sent to Italy require a 60 day wait before filing.
Claims for damaged or missing items can be filed immediately. Claims must be filed no later than 120 days from the shipment date.
Insurance claims for the USPS insurance included with the purchase of Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express postage can be filed online. In order to do so, you must create an account with the USPS here: https://reg.usps.com
